23 Night cruise sailing from Dubai to Malta onboard Oceana.
From Sir Bani Yas Island’s exotic wildlife and Dubai’s gleaming skyline, to the ruins of ancient Greece and the quiet charm of Malta, enjoy an eclectic exploration in Europe and the Middle East.
Highlights of this cruise:
Dubai
Known as the 'Pearl of the Arabian Gulf', Dubai is one of the seven emirates that comprises the United Arab Emirates. With a mix of traditional architecture and glittering modern buildings, Dubai is a place of fascinating contrasts that can best be described as the 'Middle East meets Hong Kong with a little Las Vegas thrown in for style'. It is also the home of sand, sea and sun.
Sir Bani Yas
Step off your ship and onto an island oasis. Although it's actually the crest of a salt dome created millions of years ago, Sir Bani Yas has been transformed over the past four decades. Half of the 34 square-mile surface area is now covered by the Arabian Wildlife Park, a nature reserve home to lush vegetation and 13,000 animals indigenous to the Arabian Peninsula.
Muscat
The Sultanate of Oman's capital, Muscat, has a magical feel. It is a combination of stunning deserts, mountains and beaches with all the comforts of a bustling, modern metropolis. It's also the meeting point of Asian, African and Arabic civilizations and this unique blend of cultures makes Oman a special place to visit and explore.
Salalah
A real city of contrasts, Salalah combines the charms of contemporary resort life with older Arabic influences to dramatic effect. From its ancient ruins and abundance of frankincense to its stunning beaches and soaring mountainous landscape, there is a wealth of attractions and traditions to explore.
Haifa
Haifa, Israel's third largest city and one of its prettiest, is flanked by the Mediterranean Sea and crowned by Mount Carmel. From here you can visit the Holy Land, the Sea of Galilee and the mountain fortress of Masada.
Malta
The fortifications at Malta's Grand Harbour speak volumes about her past, indeed her reputation for valour during the Second World war earned her the George Cross and there aren't too many islands you can say that of!
Athens
The Acropolis - 'High City' - will always be the top attraction from Athens cruise port Piraeus.
Katakolon
The small Greek port of Katakolon was developed in the 19th century to serve the thriving local trade in currants. Today it is your starting block for Olympia - birthplace of the Olympic Games.
Zakinthos
Call it Zakinthos or Zante, this most southerly of the Ionian chain is still one of the most ruggedly beautiful of all the Greek islands. Springs run down from the mountains in the north to the lush green valleys below and the flat plains in the south feed an abundance of wildflowers which add even more colour to the landscape.
