24 Night cruise departing from Mumbai to Cape Town onboard Azamara Quest.

Our first visit to spectacular South Africa deserves to be included in an equally epic voyage. Ring in the New Year with us and traverse the Indian Ocean aboard Azamara Quest® and be among the first to experience exciting African destinations from a fresh perspective with Azamara Club Cruises®. Beginning in electric Mumbai, we spend a day at sea before arriving in Cochin for an overnight stay.

Greet 2020 with gusto as we leave port just before midnight. We’ll be spending the next three days at sea so you can recover from the revelry with some time lounging on the pool deck or with an invigorating treatment at the Sanctum Spa.

Next stop: the sunny Seychelles, where the islands of Mahe and Praslin await. The beaches here are some of the world’s best—the kind you daydream about—and we’re spending the night so you can soak in every incredible moment. After two more relaxing days at sea (be sure to take in some of our new entertainment offerings), we arrive on the African continent for the first time in Aza history! In Mombasa, Kenya, an array of world cultures are captured in the city’s bustling streets, and coral reefs are just begging to be explored. On the enigmatic island of Zanzibar, breathe in the intoxicating aroma of the Spice Islands.

Three days sailing Africa’s eastern coast are followed by our arrival in Mediterranean-influenced Maputo, Mozambique. Then, it’s on to South Africa, where you can experience amazing wildlife at a game reserve in Richards Bay, golden beaches and a little more Indian culture in Durban, and an immersive encounter with gentle giants at an elephant park in Port Elizabeth—plus late stays in each of these ports. Your voyage concludes in captivating Cape Town, the crown jewel of the Rainbow Nation.

The mixture of cultures and influences in Cochin—from giant Chinese fishing nets at Fort Kochi and a 400-year-old synagogue to ancient mosques and Portuguese-style homes—is a reminder of the city’s history as the former center of the Indian spice trade. But don’t mistake this combination of old and new, east and west as being inharmonious; Cochin is actually a renowned center for Ayurvedic medicine.

Mahe, (Victoria), Seychelles
With over 60 pristine white sand beaches, the hardest decision you’ll have to make on this island is where to lay your beach towel.

Mombasa, Kenya
Palm-fringed and surrounded by turquoise waters, Mombasa is a stunning tropical destination nestled near Africa’s wild heart. Surf meets safari in this eastern Kenyan city set on the Indian Ocean.
