10 Night cruise sailing from Southampton to Stockholm onboard Azamara Quest.

Starting in Southampton, take a day at sea to settle in to life on board before we dock at our first of six Danish destinations. See why artists flock to the seaside town of Skagen with its wild landscape and windswept beaches. Aalborg is all about the arts. It’s home to a symphony orchestra, an opera, and a modern art museum. Aarhus, Denmark’s second-largest city, is a marvellous blend of medieval and modern, with three Michelin-starred restaurants that showcase the country’s unique culinary philosophy.

Get familiar with the simple, cozy Hygge lifestyle the Danes have made famous in the fortress town of Fredericia. Next, we sail for Copenhagen where we’ll spend the night. Cruise the canals, cross city squares, or see it all on two wheels—it’s one of the most cycle-friendly cities in the world. Be sure to take a stroll through the Tivoli Gardens, a magical pleasure garden and amusement park home to dozens of Danish restaurants.

The island of Bornholm sits on its own in the Baltic Sea, full of ancient round churches, quaint garden towns, and more than a dash of Danish charm. Roam around the village of Ronne and say “Skål” with the locals at Sveneke Brewhouse. Enjoy a final day at sea to look back on all of your adventures in Denmark before concluding your voyage in Stockholm.

Highlights of this cruise:

Southampton, England
It was the departure point for the Mayflower in 1620, and for the ill-fated Titanic in 1912. The charms of London are not far away, but pray tarry in the south to explore other wonders, including Bath, with its natural hot springs and stunning architecture and the mysterious megaliths of Stonehenge, or venture all the way west to Lands End, and the wild moorlands and pirate haunts of Cornwall.

Skagen, Denmark
This seaside town is one of Denmark’s main fishing ports, a cute little get-away destination with lovely beaches. Each July the town hosts a major folk festival, with performances by bands from around the world – folk, folk rock, jazz, ballads, blues, and perhaps some never before heard new variations on the theme.

Aalborg, Denmark
This 1,000-year-old city boasts a Viking past, which will appeal to history buffs, but also offers loads of modern day culture for a pleasing marriage of past and present. The city’s redeveloped waterfront is a lovely place to catch your breath and take in the views of the city.

Aarhus, Denmark
Nordic charm emanates from Denmark’s second largest city. Enjoy a unique blend of modern and traditional architecture and exceptional fine dining. Take a step back in time and explore historic medieval churches, then jump into the modern era at uniquely innovative museums. End your day of Danish discovery at one of four Michelin restaurants.

Fredericia, Denmark
Embrace Danish comfort from the quaint seaside port of Fredericia. Quintessentially Scandinavian, small-town charm abounds in this city flanked by emerald green fjords. From coffee sipping inside the city's fortress walls to exploring the boardwalk by bike, let Fredericia help you discover why the Danish are among the happiest people in the world.

Copenhagen, Denmark
Fairy-tale architecture and avant-garde modern designs create an enchanting atmosphere in Scandinavia's largest city. Copenhagen's quality of life is exceptional, with countless green spaces and bicycle paths—offering you every opportunity to take in the culture and cuisine of the City of Spires.

Ronne, Bornholm, Denmark
The island of Bornholm boasts numerous picturesque fishing villages and 15 medieval churches, some of which are 12th century round structures with unique artwork and architecture. Take a stroll down quiet cobbled lanes in the old part of the capital, Ronne. Wednesday is market day on the main square of St. Tory, a great opportunity to chat up the locals, and see what’s on offer at their stalls.

Stockholm, Sweden
Experience the best of northern charm in Stockholm. A perfect balance of green space, Scandinavian architecture, and enchanting palaces, Stockholm is the perfect city to relax and explore. Start in Gamla Stan—the city’s oldest section—for a glimpse at how life used to be. Then, make your way to SoFo for delicious meals and specialty shopping. And don’t forget to check out the ABBA Museum!
